Support the project
MUVIC is a cultural project without its own museum premises. It organises temporary and travelling exhibitions and has an ongoing exhibition area hosted by SuperBoniato Store. Every form of support helps us conserve, display and explain this cultural heritage, making it accessible to today's audiences and future generations. There are several ways to support the project.
Donate objects
MUVIC accepts donations of objects and materials related to video game history. Each donation is assessed individually according to its cultural interest, condition and the project's needs. Donated objects become part of MUVIC's cultural collection.
Examples include:
- consoles and computers,
- video games and accessories,
- publications, documentation and promotional materials,
- display equipment or technical items.
Become a volunteer
You can also support MUVIC through volunteering or by donating professional services. This support is essential to making MUVIC's exhibitions, activities and public engagement work possible.
Ways to help include:
- setting up and taking down exhibitions at partner venues, fairs and other events,
- supervising and supporting exhibitions open to the public,
- providing explanations, guided tours and public engagement activities,
- logistical support during events and activities,
- graphic design and audiovisual production,
- printing, signage and exhibition installation,
- transporting objects and equipment,
- technical or specialist advice.
No previous museum experience is required: we consider each person's availability, interests and skills. Volunteers are fundamental to the project's development and long-term sustainability.
Temporary collection loans
You can lend objects or collections of historical or educational interest for public display in a carefully presented setting that explains their context.
We are particularly interested in showcasing collections that help explain the evolution of video games, technology and digital culture, and that can be shared with the public in an informative and accessible way.
Loans may include, for example:
- themed or complete collections covering a system, manufacturer or era,
- unique or unusual objects with historical value,
- groups of video games, peripherals or documents that help tell a story,
- materials particularly suited to public engagement and education.
All loans are held on a temporary basis. This means that:
- ownership of the objects is never transferred,
- the duration of the loan is agreed in advance by both parties,
- the objects are used solely for cultural and educational purposes,
- the owner may request the return of the material at any time.
Financial contribution
MUVIC is a non-profit cultural project dedicated to conserving, sharing and highlighting the value of video game heritage. Financial contributions help cover essential project costs, such as restoration, displaying objects and producing content.
Financial contributions help fund:
- conservation and restoration of objects,
- exhibition materials and display cases,
- transport and logistics,
- content and exhibition production.
